The Appraisal Foundation
The Appraisal Foundation is the official authority on the valuation profession. The Foundation sets the Congressionally authorized standards and qualifications for real estate and personal property appraisers. They also provide guidance and techniques on recognized valuation methods for all valuation professionals.
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC)
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) was created by Congress as an independent agency to maintain stability and public confidence in the nation's financial system. To do this the FDIC manages several items such as, insure deposits; supervise financial institutions for safety and examine when necessary; soundness, and consumer protection; make large and complex financial institutions resolvable; and manage receiverships.
